AIDS98 Round Table on Immigration Rights

Join the Immigration Rights and HIV Working Group for a round table discussion and a Saturday afternoon of lively debate. The round table will highlight (1) the situation faced by people with HIV/AIDS who are under threat of deportation or subject to immigration control and (2) the direct link between the North-South treatment gap and the denial of treatment to people with HIV/AIDS who are undocumented and who live in the rich countries of the North. The Immigration Rights and HIV Working Group will also present the draft Platform for equality in access to care and treatment, calling on governments to stop the deportations of immigrants living with HIV/AIDS.

French and English will be the two working language for this meeting.

A follow-up meeting will take place on Tuesday 30 June at 7:30 pm in Room F.
